Why do we like this?
It seems to be a growing trend for emerging artists to drop one lone, stunner of a track before staging a hasty retreat, leaving behind the barest of trails with which to tease their fledgling fans. Vaults are no exception.
What with a coveted spot on Radio 1's BBC Introducing playlist and an impressive 212,000+ plays and counting on SoundCloud, the mysterious electro-pop project seem to be playing the intrigue card to their advantage.
The lone, stunner of a track in question is "Cry No More," a swelling, bassy ballad that rings with the kind of twinkly, tropical percussion and piercing female vocals that will enchant fans of the CHVRCHES/London Grammar scene. With a vague promise on Twitter of more material to come, it's another cruel case of "watch this space"!
