Deep Diving in a Ghibli Fantasy
The one thing I remembered when listening to this song was how tired I was and how this little medley comforted me in my exhaustion.
There's something so amazingly warm about this song, something quiet and almost childish in how the song creates its ambiance, its fantasy, and its imagined visuals. The song has an almost Asian chill pop aesthetic reminiscent of Ghibli film soundtracks, however that aesthetic gets a little overlay of joyful and playfully echoing vocals.
This song took me to a deep, warm place - if it was a memory or a fantasy isn't something I can debate, but it took me there and held my hand the whole way like a parent.
