It's been a huge few months for talented youngster Tim Bettinson, otherwise known as
Vancouver Sleep Clinic, since the release of his debut single "
Vapour" back in June. The track (currently sitting at 175k+ SoundCloud plays) launched him into the spotlight. A finalist in this year's Triple J Unearthed High Competition (previous winners include the likes of Snakadaktal and Stonefield), the 17-year-old who has just completed his final year of high school is gearing up for the 2014 release of his debut EP.
The first single off the EP is the fresh new release "Collapse," and it's impressive. The icy musical accompaniment, while simple, is perfectly crafted, and allows Bettinson's gorgeous, haunting vocals to come to the fore. Again, he's created a stunningly beautiful piece of music, and again, it'll send chills running through your body as you listen to it. Simply put, there aren't too many artists around who could pull of this track with such aplomb.
Vancouver Sleep Clinic is one of Australia's most exciting prospects (which says a lot given the quality our country produces), and is poised for a huge 2014.
