A Beautiful Scar

Vancouver Sleep Clinic delivers pure, ephemeral, and beautiful heartbreak.

"Blood Money" is what a needed pain sounds like - it's what reminding yourself about bad decisions feels like - it's that moment of tearful self-reflection on everything that went wrong.

It's a soft and slow wave of ambient instrumentation, ghostly lyrics, and an ephemeral feeling of quiet chaos. The track has nothing but reverbed voices, a piano, and some good layering and yet it sounds so universal, so heartwrenching that you relate to everything - every second - all of it.

Without any sense of pretense, I love this track, for how pure it is.
