I love (and I cannot stress this enough) a good old slow-burn 90's disco aesthetic. I just love the slow funk pre-party vibe and this little track slams all of that with a disco ball from a student 90's Datsun.
It's all about the collecting with this song — the get-together, the social build-up. You ask someone to meet you at your designated landmark and while they all arrive in classic and spectacular fashion (probably slow motion) this all plays in the background.
"Weekend Run" is leather jackets, rain, and neon lights. The track is a whole character, a whole built idea, the catalyst of any party and the ultimate social butterfly.
