Fremantle producer Ukiyo has linked up with fellow Aussie's Chymes for the dreamy "Go."
The track is a gorgeous electro-pop ditty with Chymes Kiersten Nyman's lush vocals floating over the hypnotic production. It's a unique team up from the two Australian artists and hints at a new direction for 21-year-old Ukiyo.
The film clip for the track is also great, featuring breathtaking footage of the Austrian Alps shot by drones. The track is accompanied by a small blurb from Ukiyo about the tracks creation you can read below:
Last year was a bit of a rollercoaster. I found myself cracking hard under the pressure of following up an EP and a crazy number of tracks that went so much further than I ever thought they would. A few months of self doubt & writer's block later, 'Go’ was the track that pulled me out. It’s about tackling the unknown and fixing relationships with yourself and the people you love.
Super excited but nervous to put this out, I’ve never released anything quite like it or as personal. I really hope I can take you on a little journey with this one.
2018 is shaping up as an exciting year for Ukiyo and you can hear more of his work here.
