I'm normally all for the upbeat stuff, so you'll have to forgive me for sharing a pretty melancholy song. Thing is, Tyler Burkhart's song "Waiting For You" just has a lovely, heartfelt melody to it.
If you're listening, odds are this reminds you a bit of Elliott Smith. That's what it did for me, so now I'm falling down a rabbit-hole of revisiting my high school angst.
I suppose that's a job well done by Tyler when one takes the approach of "music evoking memories" and all that jazz. Hopefully he's got more gems like this up his guitar-strumming sleeves.
