Tycho drops a garden of sounds with "Phantom."
It's really hard to place "Phantom" in one space, one ocean of music in theme, because it starts off with just that, this watery oasis of a soundscape, and then suddenly it flies into a spectrum of sounds more akin to the air we breathe, whizzing and whipping past us, only to throw itself into sounds you'd find in the neon-drenched nights of our bustling cities. It grows and morphs like a beautiful technicolor gemstone, and I was entranced from the get-go.
Tycho has created a pure cocktail of themes with "Phantom," and it did not disappoint.
