Following his whomping debut single "Go Fuck Yourself," (quite literally an overnight success, as he posted it online after a late night out and awoke to streaming popularity the next morning), Harlem-based Two Feet gives us his first EP under his new label Majestic Casual: First Steps.
As global as the massive wave of DIY/bedroom producer types has become, Two Feet may very well be its next poster child with this kind of work to his name. He's found a voice where blues-influenced guitar licks meet club-rocking basslines in electronic congress, which is as sultry and unique as it sounds.
This track, "Her Life," is perhaps the most subdued of the EP's four hot and bothered songs, but there's a sexiness in its subtlety reminiscent of early Glass Animals and Alt-J, both pioneers in the millennial world of genre-defying experimental sounds. According to the EP's press release, Two Feet's musical "vision was never clear and it is still developing," so who knows how far he'll go as he hones his sound.
