Why do we like this?
I've been a big fan of TV Girl. In fact, it was Indie Shuffle itself that first introduced me to the San Diego duo back in 2011. Their latest single, "She Smokes In The Bed," is yet another vintage indie pop piece that I have fallen in love with.
Even though I'm not usually a fan of lo-fi pop, I really do enjoy TV Girl's hazy production. It might seem like an upbeat single, but on closer inspection you'll find that the lyrics are quite sardonic. Nonetheless, it's catchy as all hell, and fills me to the brim with nostalgia.
"She Smokes In The Bed" comes from TV Girl's upcoming Lonely Women EP, which they'll have for sale digitally next month.
