Why do we like this?

I can't help looping over and over Tuxedo's new track "Number One" via Stones Throw Records. Chromeo was an essential part of my adolescence, and these guys have a chance to carve out their own space in the funky yet modern niche that is this genre.

With nu disco's success over the last couple of years, I predict an even funkier future where beats become more slowed -- with the spirit remaining goofy. 

This song is catchy and it doesn't take itself too seriously. It's your friend who always gets shut down but keeps trying. It's the perfect antidote to a bad day or a terrible date.

Don't forget you're number one in Tuxedo's heart. Mine too!
