Why do we like this?
London-based electronic enigma Tundra is so fresh that their online presence consists merely of a colorful website teaser, a nine word Facebook introduction ("hello world. we are tundra. this is alice. laters x") and this: their less-than-24-hours-old offering of "Alice."
Sonically floating somewhere within the dreamy depths of The Cure, this track fuses darkly exotic synths, moody vocals, and a reverb-ridden bass punctuated with twinkly percussion and spacey echoes. In all honesty, it's difficult to describe the lushness that's going on here, so I'm just going to step back, let the music do the talking, and hope for another piece of the puzzle.
