Why do we like this?
If you frequent Noisey often, you may have already heard "Demons" by Santa Cruz musician Tree. The brooding track features production support from Beat Culture and additional vocals from Lena Kuhn. "If you don't like this, we really don't know what to tell you," writes Noisey in its no-nonsense review.
Having listened to "Demons" repeatedly, I've come to a similar conclusion. It's not my place to tell you what to like, but damn do I feel like Tree knocked this one out of the park. He rolls with Mist Glider and Sleepy Beach, and deserves a boatload of props in my opinion for pushing the musical envelope in captivating ways.
Brooding bass, eerie vocal warps, guitar plucks, and a whole lot more can be found on "Demons." It's one of three original cuts off of Tree's debut EP, which is due out this August. Pre-order it here.
