Why do we like this?
I've spoken to a lot of people who find Zooey Deschanel to be an irresistible cutie-pie. I might agree, but I should also point out that together with M. Ward, she has the ability to produce an absolutely unique sound that sets their band, She & Him, apart from the crowd. This weekend, I'm particularly keen to see how that sound plays out on stage at Treasure Island Music Festival 2010.
Will they suck? Will they be fantastic? Will they maintain some type of quirky, adorable stage relationship? Will she wear a dress in the freezing San Francisco weather? Will her husband (Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie) decide to upstage them? (Wouldn't that be rad?) Some of these are more likely than others, but we can always hold our breath and wait to see!
