Why do we like this?
Toronto duo Traitrs return with the post-punk influenced single "Youth Cults," taken from their debut EP Rites And Ritual.
Driven by a pummelling synth line and a melodic rhythm section, "Youth Cults" burns with a steady intensity. Vocalist Shawn Tucker has cited Spanish horror occult film, Escalofrío (aka Satan's Blood), as the main inspiration for the tracks lyrical themes, explaining, "the film is filled with orgies, Satanic rituals, creepy dolls, attempted suicides, Ouija boards."
