Why do we like this?

"Witch Trials" is the gloomy debut single from Toronto duo Traitrs.

Formed by longtime friends Sean-Patrick Nolan and Shawn Tucker, Traitrs take influence from post-punk sounds, 70s horror films, and the occult.

Seeped in dark mythology with cultish lyrics ("we'll cut and kill the young"), "With Trials" has is goth-punk feel to it, fuelled by a thumping bass line and grinding riffs.

Traitrs' debut EP, Rites & Ritual, will be available June 24.
