California natives Trails and Ways are what some would label summer pop, or indie synth. My take? Something along the lines of pure bliss.
Not long ago, they hit the blogosphere with a bang via their single "Nunca." Today, they are following that success with an equally intriguing track "Mtn Tune," premiering right here on Indie Shuffle.
"Mtn Tune" takes the idea of a summer tune and takes it up a notch. With it, Trails and Ways have managed to reach the core elements of the summer season -- from ethereal synths and reverb-laden drums, to a stellar combination of male/female vocals that do wonders on the eardrums.
If you're planning on blasting some music in the car with some friends, and want to seem hip and cool at the same time -- take out that Foster the People nonsense and bust on some Trails and Ways. They won't disappoint.
