Why do we like this?

There's a different energy to sunrise and sunset. Sunset is a little heavier — sluggish with the weight carried in from the day. It is eager for either ecstasy or solitude. Tour-Maubourg's "Longing For U" is an ode to sunset if ever there was one.

Jazz is interwoven into the electronic production in a way that reminds me of my childhood, having grown up with a strong dose of the genre. The drums are captivating — the song builds, grows, and develops, and around 2:45 the drums play in the fore, reminding the listener that percussion is driving the whole track forward, just as sunset drives day into night.
