It's about time that Chad Bundick stirs up some more disco dance soup so we can all devour his infectious creations once again. This single is actually a cover of Alexander O'Neal & Cherelle's "Saturday Love." The song is just one track off of his upcoming EP, Freaking Out, set to drop on September 13.
Chad's take on this cover is, of course, upbeat. But it's also fresh, breezy, and shall I say... busy. Needless to say, there is a lot going on in this song electronically. Synths galore, punchy pianos, a constant funky beat, and seriously reverberated vocals. This track is just a tasteful hodgepodge of effects.
Anyone can listen to this song and enjoy it in its entirety, without even thinking twice about the intricacy of its production. Chad Bundick isn't afraid to layer the shit out of his songs, and kudos to him for that! He's confident and educated in his execution and that constantly shines through the finished product.
