Why do we like this?

Toro Y Moi's single, "Laws of the Universe," is a flashback to the style of his early years when he first hit the scene and we're definitely not mad about that.

This track wastes no time getting right into. The bass fills the composition with funk while the synths hop on and ride that wave. The beat is infectiously danceable as usual, but the vocals own a relaxed approach to what would be an otherwise high-energy song. The guitar doesn't disappoint with its intricately plucked disco style, a perfect compliment to the punchy keys. In a short 2 minutes and 50 seconds, Toro y Moi effortlessly shows us how it's done.
