Premiering today on Indie Shuffle is this official remix of Tora's hit "Jaigantic," courtesy of German DJ/producer Daniele Di Martino. The original of this track was the most popular hit from Tora's EP last year, Eat The Sun.
If you know anything about where Tora comes from, you'll know Byron Bay as a coastal town on the east coast of Australia that's known for its beached-out, music-centric, and laid-back lifestyle. I've always thought Tora channels that surf coast bliss into their work.
The challenge, then, is for those who remix their work to do a little bit of the same. Daniele says of this remix: "I wanted to stick as much as possible to the original track and still make something new with it." He has certainly kept the vocal-heavy intensity of the original and injected a fresh mix of beats and bass. That beat kicks in right from the opening seconds of this remix.
