Why do we like this?
There are heaps of great music being released this time of year and I'm overwhelmed with joy. A perfect example of my previous sentiment: Tommi Waring's "Moonracer."
Born in 1995, Tommi comes from a musical background stemming back to his great-grandfather, Fred Waring. After writing and performing music throughout his childhood, he began his musical endeavor at Berklee College of Music at age eighteen. In my opinion, that paid off for him.
"Moonracer" features funk riffs, soul-centric rhythms, and crooning vocals. The optimistic beat encourages listeners to dance. According to a Complexarticle, this is what the multi-instrumentalist and producer had to say about this track:
Throughout the last year I fell into a world of depression and loss and wanted to write what it felt like to fade into an abyss of which the likes I could only compare to drifting into space.
Hope you enjoy!
