Why do we like this?
I've been keen on England's indie folk scene lately. Recently, emerging artists like Amaroun and Cavalry have been intriguing me with their different takes on the genre. Tom Speight is one more artist to add to that list.
"Falling" is the debut track from the singer/songwriter, and it's a bright and vivacious introduction. Speight uses spry guitars, distant vocals and swelling violins to create energetic musical motion.
Additionally, it features the beautifully brooding vocals of Rachel Sermanni, whose music I highly suggest to you if you're a fan of this genre.
It seems Speight has curated a confident personal sound, and I'm excited to see what the artist has planned for the future.
