Tom Doolie and Cap Kendricks have masterfully crafted one of my favorite chillhop tracks in recent memory. It's been a while since I've properly dabbled in the genre, and thanks to Dust Collectors Records, I now have records upon records to get through.
The genre name chillhop sounds really similar, phonetically, to the legendary chillope; an arctic deer species that I first heard about on Reddit. They're mostly grass grazers, but it's reported that, given the right conditions, for a few days, once a year, they turn carnivorous.
Hard to believe with such a cute name like chillope, and you'd be absolutely right not to believe it, because it's totally false.
Tom Doolie and Cap Kendricks do actually exist though, so go ahead and follow them wherever you consume your media most.
