Why do we like this?
"It's been a while," was the tagline attached to the release of New York-based band, Toledo. The duo seems to usher in a new sound akin to the synth-driven prog rock that the 1975 is known for without sacrificing strong songwriting. That's the superpower of this duo... they know how to evoke deep reflection towards any emotion you don't want to confront.
"Jesus Bathroom" is an ode to those inevitable drunk nights that are interrupted by a bathroom visit to check if you're still functioning, and to make sure you atone for your sins haha.
I desperately hope an LP is on the horizon.
