Why do we like this?

Tokyo Police Club is back with an original indie pop song titled "Hot Tonight." It's fairly simple and straightforward, but the sugar-coated approach still works nicely in my headphones.

The track will be part of an upcoming album titled Forcefield, due March 25 via Mom + Pop.

According to band member David Monks, the album will keep things quite simple, avoiding any fancy / new gimmicks. I'm not entirely sure that's a good thing, but I suppose time will tell. "Hot Tonight" certainly hasn't convinced me this will be in any way mind boggling.
