Why do we like this?
If you're a fan of LA-based TOKiMONSTA, you may already know that she is running a remix context for her latest single "Clean Slate" (Ft. Gavin Turek). Turns out that Atlanta producer Deku just so happens to have entered the SoundCloud-sponsored competition -- you may remember Deku from his head-turning remix of Cloudeater's "Hardly Wait."

While I find myself bouncing along to Tokimonsta's "Go With It," I've had a harder time getting into "Clean Slate." Until this remix, that is.

I am a big fan of Deku's interpretation of the track. With it, he works in some appreciated hip-hop flavors, shifting the house-like vibe of "Clean Slate" away from the crowded dance floor and towards some place a little more spacious.
