Why do we like this?
Roots Manuva was one of the first big names to really throw his weight behind Toddla T, with a guest appearance on two tracks from Skanky Skanky. Well, now the "Boom DJ From The Steel City" has brought back Roots Manuva to star on the title track of his sophomore effort.
I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from this album -- a rehashing of the dancehall sounds of his debut perhaps? Lead single, "Take It Back" suggested otherwise, with its classic house vibe. It looks like Toddla's gone off in yet another direction with this new combination.
Evoking an 80's style funky feel -- not dissimilar from Dizzee Rascal's breakthrough hit "Fix Up, Look Sharp" -- this is sure to make you join in the dancing!
