Why do we like this?
Anyone who reads my reviews knows I have an affliction for female rappers. While it's a view not often shared by the Indie Shuffle faithful, I'm hoping this track will change some of your minds.
Tkay Maidza is an Adelaide MC fast making a name for herself in the competitive world of Australian hip-hop. A cross between M.I.A. and Azealia Banks, Maidza already has a knack for catchy hooks, while the booming beat from Badcop suits Maidza's trippy flow. She might be young, but Maidza is already proving she has the calibre to mix it with the best of them.
