Why do we like this?
23-year-old Luke Dalton is, like many others, a classical pianist. Unlike so many others, though, he's also a ripper producer, who started dabbling in electronic production in 2012. And, after a slew of high-profile support slots, he brings us his first official release, "Tryst."
"Tryst" features all the noisy synths and skittering beats that have become Tincture's signature sound, but also adds Dalton's dreamy vocals to his production for the first time, as well as guitar hooks reminiscent of 90s dream pop as well as early Youth Lagoon and Washed Out.
If the reaction to Tincture's work so far is anything to go by, he certainly has a long and exciting career ahead. Exciting times.
