Femme House Rules Circa 2021

Being the aged person I am, having lived a 26-year lifespan so far, I often find myself reminiscing on the youthful experiences I missed during my tenure at college.

This collab between Tinashe and TOKiMONSTA takes a song that would have been running rampant through the college speakers of the '90s university experience and gives it new life. It takes a pop r&b song with its pop 90's values and pushes it into the college experience of the 2020s — house beats, electro instrumentals, and r&b vocals abound.

The song's relevance has morphed through time and its thematic space in society has also changed. The version presented here makes a relevant yet poppy protest jam and changes it into a house track for a new age of riots.
