Why do we like this?

Today I'm excited to premiere a brand new remix from Gold Coast producer Paces. Having previously remixed Kilter, Safia, Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, and more, he's now taken on R&B songstress Tinashe and her track "All Hands On Deck."

The original track is a sultry R&B number, embellished by bright synths and a deep bass, all supporting Tinashe's clean, honey-sweet vocals.

Kicking things off in a similar fashion, the remix seems to add to rather than change the atmosphere – at first. With bright keys, claps, and other layers, the vibe quickly shifts, and the sound we've come to identify with Paces soon takes over. It's bright and airy as synth flickers and high notes intertwine with Tinashe's dulcet vocals.

While the original track is brimming with seductive sensuality, Paces' remix splashes it with an upbeat, dance-ready rhythm, perfect for a sunset boogie or a late night romp.
