Why do we like this?
Times New Viking is pretty well known for their absolute affinity for lo-fi sounds on their albums, and this new one is no different.
Although it has that buzzing amateur sound, Over and Over still comes across as a pretty accessible indie rock album. The songs are all catchy, and they still have that signature sound of female and male vocal harmonies with a guitar/keyboard lead.
Times New Viking seem to make records only for themselves, and sometimes this can be seen as a little bit pretentious, but I think it's great that they stick to their guns and keep making the music that they want to be making.
