Tim Gunter, a well established artisan of the banger remix craft, has released his first original single. And it goes hard.
Aptly titled, "First Breath" is Gunter's first steps into the world of producing an original track, and he is not taking any baby steps. The track starts with rainfall, a melody reminiscent of overcast skies early in the morning, and the sound of someone breathing. The song builds from there with a driving drum track and ominous synth and bass. Then comes the drop, and the party begins. Heavy trap synth and syncopated accents in the beat will make you shake a tail feather.
I don't know if the single artwork has anything to do with this, but this song makes me want to grab a snowboard and shred down the mountain. It's got the sort of melodic build that you would see backing the visuals of snowboard films like The Art of Flight or That's It, That's All, and the drop will have you believing you really could pull out that 1440 triple cork on the super-pipe. And with the only vocals of the track saying "do it," maybe you actually will.
