Why do we like this?
You may remember that Tree dropped an amazing cover of Radiohead's "Karma Police" in August to coincide with the release of his Demons EP. So when the Santa Cruz producer reached out to me about collaborating on a premiere, I knew I was on board.
Today Tree is paying tribute to J Dilla, Flying Lotus, Thundercat, and Brainfeeder with his bootleg of "For Love I Come." As Tree told me, "They truly have changed the way I listen to and create sound, so this is my salute to them." Tree pieced the drum kit together from scratch as an homage to the great producers who've inspire him. The end result is something that hip hop heads will likely appreciate.
