Brainfeeder artist and all-around badass Thundercat is a familiar face around
these parts, thanks in part to the digital digging of Indie Shuffle writer
Sweeneykovar. A face that might not be as familiar is that of late Nintendo boss
Hiroshi Yamauchi, who died on September 19.
In the wake of Yamauchi's death, Thundercat has released a touching tribute to the savvy businessman titled "Bowzer's Ballad." Co-written by award-winning composer
Ruslan Sirota, "Bowzer's Ballad" feels like something out of an amazing video game of days past. It's unlike a lot of instrumentals I've been into lately, which is all the more reason to give it a listen.
