Sounds like:
Dr. Dog,
Decent Lovers,
Andrew Bird
Why do we like this?
Here's a nice little Decent Lovers spinoff for you. The band's keyboardist, Thomas McNeely, has a self-titled side project in which he's produced and released this great single, "Deny, Deny."
The song starts off intriguingly, with a strong beat and orchestral arrangements of all sorts. It's a whimsical approach, that's for sure. Thomas' raspy yet powerful vocals come in with sweet harmonies to compliment the melody. Keep in mind that Thomas produced this gem in his home in West Asheville. This is a quintessential DIY project!
Thomas McNeely's innovative "Deny Deny" is so enjoyable that it got chosen to be included on the Mercedes Benz Mixed Tape, just released a week ago. How cool!
