Why do we like this?

Los Angeles-based duo THEY. are one of the few acts that genuinely defy labels.

While their contemporaries were busy blending electronica with R&B, THEY. concocted their own unique mix of rock-infused R&B, taking cues from Nirvana, Taking Back Sunday, and James Brown.

"Truth Be Told" is no exception. A fresh cut from their anticipated full-length debut Nü Religion: Hyena (out now on Mind of A Genius records), the track is a testament to their hybrid sound. Combining the woozy rap-vocal of The-Dream, ragged guitar and bold beats, THEY. are a welcome blast of innovation on the R&B scene.
