Why do we like this?

The last time TheFatRat blessed us with some new electronic vibes, they took an unexpected turn down an orchestral trap alley. So by now I'm convinced he won't be satisfied until he's fully fleshed out his inspirations and curiosities.

Take brand new single "Monody" for example. With the help of singer Laura Brehm, the LA-based producer crafts a modern take on Greek tragedy. Whereas a traditional monody is about mourning, there's something positively upbeat going on here. And I dig it.
