Why do we like this?

Kicking off what we hope will be a trend for early-2012, we're stoked to share a demo from The xx titled "Open Eyes." The band released the song today as a bit of a teaser for their upcoming album. Whether this specific track will actually be on it, we can't tell -- but it's certainly true to the minimalistic sound that we've come to expect from the group.

For reference, Jamie xx has said that "club music has definitely had an influence on the next record." A clubby feel? Well that certainly provides a stronger indication that this song might not actually appear on the record.
