You all know how it goes: you've got a favorite band that you listen to over and over and over again. You listen to them so much that you soon grow tired of their music, and quickly you move onto the next thing. Then many years later, you dust off that old album and ask yourself "Why the heck did I stop listening to this?"
For me, The Whitest Boy Alive is a perfect example of such a band. Based out of Berlin, the band is an offshoot of Kings of Convenience (sharing the same lead singer, Erlend Øye). They've been jamming since at least 2006, when their first album Dreams was released.
While I'm not quite sure whether they've got anything else up their sleeves, I don't quite mind. Their sophomore album Rules still stands the test of time, and coupled with this Fred Falke remix, they're probably going to stay on my radar for many more years to come. Happy to dust this one off!
