Why do we like this?
Somewhere deep down in The Weeknd's new song "Enemy" is a cover of The Smiths' "Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want." At least, that's what I've been told (the lyrics!).
When I listen to the original song, it's harder to detect. In fact, the only takeaway I have is that The Smiths' version sounds a bit nicer.
This "cover" song appears to be completely random, having nothing to do with the upcoming reissue of a mastered version of his 2011 mixtapes. It's certainly nice to hear something new from The Weeknd, but I'm more keen to hear Trilogy whenever that drops.
