Why do we like this?
The War On Drugs have shared a new single from their forthcoming album, A Deeper Understanding.
Set for release on August 25th, the band has released a total of three singles off the album – "Holding On," "Thinking of a Place" and now "Strangest Thing."
Over the course of 6 and a half minutes, the track slowly moves through Adam Granduciel's raw, emotive vocals accompanied by one riff that is repeated and built-upon throughout. It's the kind of track that requires your undivided attention in order to really appreciate. Suggestion: get yourself somewhere quiet and alone, with a good pair of over-ear headphones and preferably a really good view...and only then, hit play.
A Deeper Understanding is available for pre-order here.
