A Million Seconds/A Million Situations
A soft rock track from The Walters gives me flashbacks of indie films and young creativity, with a hint of self-aware sadness.
The "self-aware sadness" has become quite the staple in the new age of indie rock and soft rock, but what The Walters have done is to take that exact thematic space, but splash it with romance, soft comforts, and a good old hint of blues-folk.
It doesn't take long for this track to settle into its rhythms and chorus progression, but it's a goodie bag of self-improvement, twangy guitar leads, and a beautiful feeling of resolution.
A mIllion seconds given to my ears led me to a million revelations.
