Here's one out of left field. So Shifty, a German tropical house producing duo who impressed the heck out of me with their "K Le Pasa" remix and "Hush (Iggy, Iggy)," have come along and remixed The Very Best, a duo from Lilongwe, Malawi in Africa who make pop music in London. Esau Mwamwaya and Johan Hugo are not names I am very familiar with, but that will soon change.
Whatever genre you want to label "Warm Heart of Africa" as, it deserves a few listens. I dig the bubbly synth and drum work. Tracks that know how to have fun put a smile on my face. This is not the kind of music I find myself listening to often -- it may be time to change that.
