Why do we like this?

The Third Sound is planning to debut their newest full-length album All Tomorrow's Shadows on May 11th. As a captivating tease of what's to come, the Berlin-based group has put out a fantastically lo-fi video for "Nine Miles Below," one of the new tracks off the album.

It's not quite shoegaze and it's not quite post-punk, but its twanging guitars and dark, muted vocals give the song this early '90s era vibe that's so incredibly refreshing and gratifying. I feel like I'm rolling around inside the back of a van in New Mexico with the desert air flowing through the window.
