Why do we like this?
Holy cow! What a frigging intro! The Temper Trap have just floored me with their song "Trembling Hands," featuring one of the nicest chord progressions I've ever heard in a song. It's a bit unlike anything I've heard from the group before, and I have a sneaking suspicion where the inspiration lies...
We recently shared a cover of U2's "Stay" that the band played live for a French radio station. I've never really listened to much from U2, but I feel compelled to infer that their influence is smothered all over this song. Perhaps too much so -- the song teeters on the edge of becoming a bit of a power ballad.
Whichever way you look at it, my conclusion is that this is a beautiful song, and should not be missed.
