I can’t slip to sleep without writing just one more review for the day. For the past few hours, my ears have been hung up on The Suits, an electronic/indie act out of the Bronx, New York.
There isn’t much dirt on them, which I both naturally love and despise. But here’s what I can tell you: the quartet formed in 2011 at Fordham University. Eddie Gore is the lead singer, and is supported by Eric Grossman, Mike Sansevere, Alex DeSimine, and Devon Sheridan. (I’m hoping by my next review I can tell you what those fine fellows do.) The Suites were scooped up by Frenchkiss Record and have one EP called Polysun, where this lovely track lives.
Maybe that’s all you need to know? After all, we’re here for the music and you need to listen.
“Stars” is a refreshing, delightful, snazzy song. It reminds me so much of Memory Tapes! Memory Tapes, but happier. “Stars” is also dripping with the likeness of Youth Lagoon. Compliments of the year. This indie synth track feels fuzzy, warm, and I can’t help but strain trying to detect a phantom telephone ringing in the background.
I like it. I want more. I’m looking at you, Suits. Give us more.
