Why do we like this?

Oh man, is this a groovy mashup or what?

Tom Misch has been making waves lately for his collaborative EP w/ Carmody, but what you may not know is that he occasionally dabbles in hip-hop remixes.

Case in point? This remix of Busta Rhymes' "Ill Vibe." Or this one featuring Notorious BIG. Or...the one I've decided to feature as today's Song of the Day.

Each deserve a listen within their own right, but for now our focus is on the 1979 classic "Rappers Delight" -- the first successful rap song of all time.

It's hard to mess with a single of this stature, but Tom Misch has managed to do it justice for my ears.
