Why do we like this?

If everyone in the world was named Dorian, that would be very difficult to navigate, but we would find a way to cope. I'm trying to illustrate how resilient humans are. We can overcome any challenge, no matter how mountainous.

That is, we haven't been proven unable to yet. Consider this, all of the lightbulbs in your house are working, resiliently, until one day one of them fuses. Or, even worse, the circuit board trips. Which, in this metaphor represents the end of life on Earth.

Luckily, there aren't many people named Dorian. They're actually a rare breed. One of them used to be in a band called The Soundcarriers, who gave us a few worthwhile albums, but seem to not exist anymore. Eerie.
